Born in Manhattan, New York, Chad Brown did not stay there long. He was brought up on Bronx, where he learnt his passion for the game of poker when he spent his time at the Italian Cafes and first saw the game being played and eventually went on to play the game after he understood the rules.

Though he loved the game, his heart was set in making acting his real career. Right from school, he played various minor roles and with time, decided to change base to Los Angeles, which is the hub for all actors. Here he was in the lookout for greater opportunities and also proved himself as an actor.

His passion for the game of poker was discovered when he was hosting a television game show and here he could prove himself as an actor as well as a poker player. When Chad hosted the Ultimate Poker Challenge, he also started playing the game and had major earnings which were a great supplement to his income from acting. The card games took him to places which he could only dream of. This show was the best opportunity for him as an actor and a player of the game. This rare combination gave his the opportunity which he was looking for.

From one tournament to other, Brown decided to move on and try his hand at various other tournaments as well. This did a lot to ensure great cash earnings for him. His career as an actor was still there, but poker now took an upper hand and he started to enhance his skills here. He never lost his touch with Hollywood and played minor roles, but poker was in his blood now and this is the reason why he had to travel to places to play the game. As he was seen in the final tables of many games, he slowly left his mark in the minds of the top players.
