Esfandiari wins World Series of Poker
Poker champ Antonio Esfandiari won the most prestigious and expensive poker tournament which is the $1 million buy in WSOP (World Series of Poker). The tournament assambled 48 of the game’s best pros and most affluent amateurs. Antonio beat final table of eight in Las Vegas on Tuesday. The event was held for charity purpose and it helped Antonio earn the top prize of $18.3 million. But he said that he was not conscious of the payday.
He said to a private news channel that he never thought of the money as his only aim was to win. He told Card Player that he was not in the long run to make any kind of financial deal with runner up Sam Trickett. Brian Rast who occupied sixth position is also a long time friend of Antonia and was capable enough to explain the mindset of Antonio.
Rast said that if the situation would have allowed him to win, money would be the most vital thing for him. The final round of the tournament depicted hundreds of spectators and the event was broadcasted live on ESPN. On asking about whether there are well-chosen investors out there, Antonio replied that he was not at all conscious of that fact. On the other hand, Trickett won prize amount of $10.1 million for his marvelous performance.
Esfandiari said that he was angry with the way he played the game but he was pretty much confident of the fact that he will win it. Though he earned the title, it was Trickett who was very careful about the cash because he was there for money.
